Dress Code Guide
One of our favorite parts of Indian weddings is seeing everyone dressed up and having fun with color, sparkle, and tradition. If you’ve never attended an Indian wedding before, don’t worry—we’ve got you covered!
Haldi Ceremony
The Haldi is a joyful daytime ceremony where turmeric paste is applied to the couple. Expect sunshine, laughter, and the possibility of getting a little messy.
Recommended attire:
Women: Yellow or green kurta sets, two-piece sets, maxi dresses, or casual Indian outfits
Men: Yellow or green kurta, linen shirt and pants, or other comfortable daytime attire
Wear something you don’t mind getting a little turmeric on
Suggested colors to incorporate:
Floral Green
Yellow
Sage Green
Rehearsal Dinner
This is the perfect excuse to dress up and have some fun.
Recommended attire:
Women: Cocktail dresses, elegant gowns, sexy sarees, or chic jumpsuits
Men: Dress shirt with formal pants; blazer optional but encouraged
Think elevated, stylish, and ready for a beautiful evening with great food and drinks.
Marathi Wedding Ceremony
Our wedding ceremony will be a traditional Marathi wedding, and we’d love for guests to embrace the occasion by wearing Indian attire.
Recommended attire:
Women: Saree (highly recommended), lehenga, or elegant salwar suit
Men: Kurta pajama, kurta with jacket, sherwani, or other traditional Indian attire
If you’ve never worn Indian clothing before, this is the perfect opportunity to try it!
Suggested colors to incorporate:
Marathi Green
Saffron
Blue
Pink
Avoid Solid Red, Black, and White
Sangeet & DJ Night
This is our biggest party of the weekend. There will be dancing, music, and plenty of celebration.
Women: Sparkly lehengas, embellished sarees, sequined gowns, or festive Indian wear
Men: Kurta sets, Indo-western outfits, or cocktail attire with a festive touch
The more sparkle, the better. This is your moment to shine on the dance floor.
