Travel Checklist
STEP 1 - RSVPLet us Know You Are Coming
The first thing to do is let us know you'll be there. Please RSVP as soon as possible. We need your response to arrange accommodations, meals, and all the details that go into making this celebration perfect.

Arrival & Departure
STEP 2 - VISA & PASSPORTRequired for Entry into India
The first thing to do is let us know you'll be there. Please RSVP as soon as possible. We need your response to arrange accommodations, meals, and all the details that go into making this celebration perfect.
Applicants of the eligible countries/territories must apply online a minimum of 4-days in advance of the date of arrival. Such application can be made 30 days in advance from proposed date of travel.
Indian e-Tourist Visa30-day e-Tourist Visa costs $40 for travel in January. A 1-year multiple-entry visa is also available for $40. You can apply up to 120 days before your arrival date.
Visa CostYour passport must be valid for at least 6 months beyond your planned departure from India, meaning valid through at least July 2027. Check now and renew early if needed.
Passport ValidityYou'll need: a recent passport-style photo, a scanned copy of your passport bio-data page, and your planned travel dates.
Documents NeededVisa requirements vary by nationality. Check your country's specific requirements on the official Indian Visa Online portal. Many nationalities qualify for the e-Visa; some may require an appointment at an Indian consulate.
STEP 3 - BOOK FLIGHTFlying into Goa International Airport (GOI)
Your destination airport is Goa International Airport (GOI), also known as Dabolim Airport, located just minutes from Stone Water Eco Resort. There are no direct flights from the US to Goa.
We highly recommend taking a direct flight to Mumbai, then connecting flight from Mumbai to Goa (Dabolim Airport),
Your Arrival & Departure Plan
Suggested Arrival & Departure Plan to arrive by January 17 or 18, 2027 to settle in before the festivities begin. We'd love for you to stay and explore Goa, departing January 21st or later gives you time to unwind after the wedding.
Now through August 2026Best time to book Book 3–6 months in advance for the best fares. January is peak season in Goa — prices rise the closer you get to the date.
Travel Time19–28 hours total Expect one layover of 1.5–3 hours. Give yourself plenty of layover time when connecting through Doha, Dubai, or Mumbai.
AirportGoa International Airport (GOI), Dabolim Taxis and ride-share apps (Ola, Uber) are readily available outside arrivals. The resort is approximately 10 minutes away.
Transportation in GoaUber and Ola are not widely available. When in Goa, we recommend traveling using the following methods:

Pro TipCheck baggage allowance on all legs Indian domestic carriers can have stricter luggage limits than your international flight. Verify policies across all legs before you fly.
STEP 4 - GET READY!Everything Else You Need to Know
You've RSVP’d, sorted your visa, and booked your flight. Now for the fun part. Here's what to expect when you arrive in Goa, and a few things to prepare before you travel.
Where You’re Staying
The wedding is held at Stone Water Eco Resort, Dabolim, Goa. A room block has been arranged and is free for wedding guests. Book directly through the resort and mention you're attending the Dorsey–Shelke wedding. We strongly recommend staying on-site for the full experience.
Dress Code
Black tie optional. The ceremony is formal; the reception is a celebration. Light, breathable fabrics are encouraged — Goa in January is warm (mid-80s°F / ~30°C) and can be humid.
Currency
India uses the Indian Rupee (INR). It is recommended to carry around cash. ATMs are widely available in Goa. Inform your bank before traveling. Credit cards are accepted at most hotels and restaurants.
Connectivity
Check international roaming with your carrier, or pick up an affordable local SIM card at the airport on arrival. WhatsApp is widely used for communication in India.
